| Line up the needs, the Giants’ GM knocked ‘em down. Right tackle, tight end, guard, safety and running back were all addressed with players of great value. Mike Adams has exceptional potential at right tackle. Dwayne Allen is one of the best all-around tight ends in the 2012 class. Senio Kelemete is raw, but powerful and has great upside. | Grade: A |
| Pick | Overall | Choice | Notes | |
| 1.32 | 32 | Mike Adams, OT from Ohio St. | Best player available on my board and fills a huge need. Kareem McKenzie is both gone and used up and our stable of tackles does not inspire confidence that they can stay healthy or keep Eli upright. When BPA meets need, I feel good about this pick. | |
| 2.32 | 64 | Dwayne Allen, TE from Clemson | After Boykin was cruelly stolen from me, I'll take a player from the top of my board that fills a major need. Allen can be used a variety of ways in this offense and hopefully can develop into Eli's third option, working the middle of the field in the space cleared out by Nicks and Cruz. We'll work on his blocking and teach him to get lower. | |
| 3.32 | 95 | Senio Kelemete, OG from Washington | Drafting him to play guard - gives us needed depth at a position that was an issue all of last year. Like Kelemete's nasty streak and ability to win in the run game. | |
| 4.32 | 127 | Brandon Taylor, S from L.S.U. | Antrelle Rolle on the decline - Taylor is instinctive and a solid tackler that will hopefully develop into Rolle's replacement. | |
| 5.32 | 159 | DaJohn Harris, DT from USC | Fairly surprised he is still available. Provides much needed depth at DT a position where almost all of our players have issues, be it age, injury or inexperience. | |
| 6.32 | 190 | Terrance Ganaway, RB from Baylor | ||
| 7.32 | 222 | Micah Pellerin, CB from Hampton | Mr. Irrelevant! Has enough talent to be able to make the team and provide both needed CB depth and contribute on special teams. |
