PickOverallChoiceNotes
1.2121Cornellius Carradine, DE
from Florida State
Corrnelius "TANK" Carradine is a Top-10 talent who is overcoming injury and fell happily into our laps. He will be a beast for years to come and make our DL even stronger. Gives us insurance if we can't keep Dunlap or MJ. Happy to have him. Whodey!
2.2252Bacarri Rambo, S
from Georgia
"Real heroes don't die, they just reload." Or in this case, Real TEAMS don't die, we just keep drafting talent. Rambo is a free safety in every sense of the definition. He thrives is deep center field where his range and ball skills are evident. Rambo's ball-tracking is the best in this class and would be an Elite trait by NFL standards. Where you look for much more is against the run. Rambo doesn't usually fly into the picture looking for make the big stick. Instead, you'll see him catch runners off guard or hold the ball carrier up until help arrives. The crazy part is, he has gotten much better in run defense and overall tackling over the last couple years. Zimmer is looking forward to nurturing his run blocking growth. The fact that we can interchange our FS/SS with Nelson and Rambo makes our secondary immediately that more dangerous.
2.2353Kyle Long, OT
from Oregon
The Queen City is happy to welcome Kyle Long into The Jungle. His pedigree, athleticism, and nasty streak will be welcome additions to our OL for years to come. Will start out getting trained up and working the RT until he takes the reins from Big Whit at his more natural LT position
3.1476Andre Ellington, RB
from Clemson
First thing that jumps out has to be Ellington's long speed. If he breaks loose, he doesn't usually get caught. Along with his impressive speed, Ellington shows enough fight and toughness to make you think he's bigger/stronger than he really is. For his size, he's a very good pass blocker and he has one of the best hands in this draft class. We are happy to get him in rd3. He's a perfect compliment to BJGE and will be ready to take the reigns in due time
3.2284Kiko Alonso, ILB
from Oregon
With the selection of Kiko Alonso, the Bengals get versatility at the LB position, of which we need talent and depth. Alonso has the flexibility to play either MLB or OLB for us which gives us plenty of options on how we want to line up going into 2013. Not only that, he brings a nose for the football and a swagger on the field fitting of an AFC North defense.
4.23120Joseph Randle, RB
from Oklahoma State
The Bengals have decided to double dip and get another great playmaker in Joseph Randle out of Oklahoma State. We wanted to improve our running attack to help out Dalton and now we have certainly done that. Randle, along with Ellington can be the future of our franchise rushing attack. Cincinnati now has its own Fred Jackson/CJ Spiller-like attack to throw at teams on top of our passing attack.
6.22190Rick Wagner, OT
from Wisconsin
7.34240Jake Stoneburner, TE
from Ohio State
Cincinnati goes into its own backyard and drafts OSU TE Jake Stoneburner. He is an athletic, big bodied tight-end with good YAC skills. He will come in and add depth to our TE position and give us great size and catching ability in the red-zone early on
7.45251Don Jones, S
from Arkansas State
To wrap things up, the Bengals select Don Jones. He will add depth and competition to our safety postion. We believe he could, with some polishing, could move his way up to playing time and will make an impact on special teams early on
