Atlanta Falcons

On the clock: Houston Texans, Pick: 7.41

General Manager: @ScottCarasik
Assistant GM: @DirtyBirdzR

1.033Khalil Mack, OLB
from Buffalo
The Falcons need the ideal pass rusher to complete their multiple front defense. While Jadeveon Clowney would have been the first choice, we decided that he was too much to trade up for. So we lose just our third round pick to get an elite player. Mack will start out as the strong-side linebacker in both the 3-4 and 4-3 packages. RDE/WOLB will be manned by Jonathan Massaquoi.
1.3232Calvin Pryor, FS
from Louisville
The Falcons cut Thomas DeCoud because they felt they could get an upgrade over him at free safety. With Calvin Pryor here, the Falcons have that upgrade. He's a playmaking safety who isn't afraid to bust some heads over the middle. He's the best fit for the Falcons' schemes at safety in this year's draft, and Weatherspoon and Moore have been quoted as saying he's the ideal prospect for Atlanta.
4.03103Lache Seastrunk, RB
from Baylor
The Falcons need someone who can complement the combination of Jacquizz Rodgers and Steven Jackson this year while also being the running back of the future. Seastrunk is just great value at this point and will add a home run hitting element to the running game that it's just currently lacking. If he fell this far in real life, Atlanta would be stupid to not take him at this point.
4.39139Arthur Lynch, TE
from Georgia
We had considered Lynch as an option for our last pick and didn't have any idea he was even going to be available here. He'll partner with Levine Toilolo and Bear Pascoe to create a solid trio at tight end for the Falcons.
6.06182Charles Leno, OT
from Boise State
Atlanta could really use some depth along the offensive line. Charles Leno can play anywhere along the front five and would be great competition for the rest of the line. He could be a surprising fit at left tackle long term.
7.38253Boseko Lokombo, OLB
from Oregon
7.40255Shamar Stephen, DT
from Connecticut
